Codos’ mission is to build a reward system for a community that fights climate change by commuting sustainably, and to measure Scope 3 CO₂ emissions with verified carbon reduction through the Codos app and dashboard.
The Codos Foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Zug, Switzerland, and the legal entity
that leads the development of the Codos app, the gamified reward system for CO2 avoidance, and
the AI model for automated transport mode detection. The Codos Foundation aims to support
digital solutions for measuring and rewarding sustainable behavior, CO₂ mitigation, and
environmental protection, including the Codos reward platform and its ecosystem. In addition, the
foundation supports environmental science and innovative technologies.
Our cutting-edge ML technology accurately identifies various modes of transport (e.g., walking, cycling, driving, e-scooter, public transit, e-cars, carpooling) capturing the commuting activity in an objective and precise way.
Codos complies with the General Data Protection Regulation, an EU law that gives individuals more control over their personal data.
All the data processed is fully pseudonymized. AWS assures strong security and performance isolation at data processing, while each of the storage services provides encryption at rest.
Personal data (in particular: telemetry collection, journey processing, data retrieval and error diagnostics) on the Codos platform is replaced by a pseudonym. All collective data sets are therefore anonymized.
